Rybnik Power Plant generates electric energy mostly for the needs of National Electroenergetic System. It has a generating power of 1775 MWe and is the biggest cogeneration power plant in the region of Upper Silesia. The power of the plant constitutes approximately 7 % of electric power installed in Poland.
